AVS or CVV Failure

If you have encountered an AVS Failure on a recent order you have placed on our website and see a pending authorization on your account, please see below.
Your credit card for the TRUGLO web order was declined. Your card was not billed, or order created.

Instead, an authorization has been placed on the card (which if you use a debit card may appear as a “charge” since it temporarily lowers your available spending limit).
This situation only comes into effect because TRUGLO has enabled AVS (Address Verification System) and CVV (3 digits on back of card for VISA, MasterCard, Discover – 4 digits on front of card for American Express) rules to help protect against fraudulent transactions. This protects both TRUGLO and the customer from fraud.

Initially the authorization for the amount was approved, but, secondarily, the AVS or CVV rule failed, so the payment gateway declined the transaction. While this can create confusion, the process is in place to protect both parties.

In short: The pending transaction you're seeing is only an authorization, and will automatically fall off of the card shortly.
